    London | Hybrid (2-3 days per week) | Tier 1 Banking Environment

    A major global banking organisation is looking for a Technical Architect with strong AI experience to help design and deliver a secure framework for the adoption of enterprise AI tools.

    Business units across the bank are increasingly looking to leverage Generative AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and Mistral to improve productivity, accelerate innovation and transform internal processes. The challenge is enabling these capabilities in a highly regulated financial environment while maintaining strong cyber security, data protection and governance controls.

    This role will play a key part in shaping the architecture, guardrails and security strategy that allow the organisation to safely roll out AI capabilities at scale.

    The Role

    As Technical Architect, you will sit at the intersection of AI innovation, enterprise architecture and cyber security. Working closely with security, risk, architecture and engineering teams, you will design secure patterns that allow the bank to adopt AI technologies without exposing sensitive data or introducing new security risks.

    You will help define how AI can be used safely across the enterprise, ensuring appropriate controls around data access, identity, model usage and integration with internal systems.

    • Design secure architecture patterns to enable the use of Generative AI platforms such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and Mistral.

    • Define security guardrails for AI adoption including data protection, identity management and API security.

    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with AI technologies including data leakage, prompt injection and model misuse.

    • Work with cyber security teams to ensure AI capabilities align with the bank's security strategy and regulatory obligations.

    • Develop architecture standards and governance frameworks to support enterprise AI adoption.

    • Collaborate with engineering teams to translate architectural designs into scalable and secure solutions.

    • Present architecture proposals and security considerations to senior technology and risk stakeholders.

    • Experience working as a Technical Architect, Security Architect or Enterprise Architect within a large complex environment.

    • Practical experience with AI platforms or LLM ecosystems, such as Copilot, OpenAI, Claude, Mistral or similar.

    • Strong understanding of cyber security architecture, data protection and identity management.

    • Experience designing secure architectures across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.

    • Knowledge of AI security risks and governance considerations within enterprise environments.

    • Ability to operate effectively with both senior stakeholders and engineering teams.
