  • SAFe Agile Release Train Engineer

    We are seeking an experienced SAFe Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and coordinate Agile Release Train (ART) activities within a fast-paced technology environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAFe delivery practices, large-scale Agile transformation, and cross-functional programme coordination. Experience working within Data, Analytics, Cloud, or Digital Transformation programmes is highly desirable, though not essential.

    The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in facilitating Program Increment (PI) planning, coaching Agile teams and stakeholders, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the effective delivery of strategic initiatives across the ART.

    • Lead and facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events and ceremonies, including:

      • Program Increment (PI) Planning

      • ART Syncs

      • Scrum of Scrums

      • System Demos

      • Inspect & Adapt workshops

    • Coordinate multiple Agile teams across the ART to ensure alignment with business priorities, delivery objectives, and strategic roadmaps.

    • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and teams on SAFe principles, Agile best practices, Lean thinking, and continuous improvement.

    • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, impediments, and blockers across teams and workstreams, escalating where appropriate.

    • Drive optimisation of workflow, predictability, and delivery performance using Agile metrics and KPIs such as velocity, throughput, flow efficiency, and predictability measures.

    • Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, Data teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure effective planning, prioritisation, and execution of initiatives.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, accountability, and continuous learning across the ART.

    • Support Agile maturity and transformation initiatives, helping teams evolve their Agile delivery capabilities.

    • Ensure alignment between business objectives, technical delivery, and operational readiness.

    • Facilitate effective communication and stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organisation.

    • Proven experience operating as a SAFe Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) within complex enterprise environments.

    • Strong hands-on experience leading PI Planning and managing Agile Release Trains across multiple cross-functional teams.

    • Deep understanding of SAFe frameworks, Agile methodologies, Lean principles, and DevOps practices.

    • Demonstrated experience coaching teams and stakeholders in Agile delivery and continuous improvement practices.

    • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Experience driving delivery governance, dependency management, and programme-level coordination.

    • Ability to analyse delivery metrics and use data-driven insights to improve flow and delivery performance.

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

    Desirable Experience

    • Experience working within Data, Analytics, BI, Data Engineering, Cloud, or Digital Transformation programmes.

    • SAFe RTE certification or other Agile certifications (SAFe SPC, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, PMP, etc.).

    • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro, or similar Agile delivery platforms.

    • Experience operating within regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
