• Overview

  We are looking for an Automation Test Architect to join a financial services client based in Sheffield. There will be a requirement to be in the office up to 3-days per week. The contract is also inside IR35.
  

  We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Automation Test Architect with strong expertise Identity and Access management (IAM), skilled in identity orchestration, API testing, data ingestion and transformation, and event-driven (Pub/Sub) architectures. This role focuses on testing secure, scalable identity and access workflows across Google Cloud Platform, integrating identity services with custom APIs, Pub/Sub pipelines, and cloud-native applications.

  Using an automation first approach, you will collaborate closely with tech leads, Cloud Security, DevOps, and Application Engineering teams to thoroughly test robust IAM, identity lifecycle workflows, and secure service integrations that support enterprise-level cloud and Identity operations.

• Key Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of automation test expertise.

  • Strong Java/SQL skills, and experience with tools such as Selenium, WDIO/Cucumber, RestAssured, plus CI/CD integration via Jenkins or GitLab.

  • Experience in designing/executing test plans, creating scalable automation frameworks, defining performance test strategies, and ensure full traceability across Agile or Waterfall deliveries.

  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), API testing, database comparisons, and tools like JIRA/Xephyr is essential.

  • Background in IAM, SailPoint, SCIM, REST, LDAP, OIDC, graph databases, or ServiceNow/AD integrations is essential.
